Veduta is Italian for view: a painted view of a city. Your guests break a gold wax seal, the envelope opens, and they step onto a Venetian loggia in morning light. The two of you stand at the balustrade and look out over domes, a river and terracotta roofs, in a painting that breathes: the lanterns sway, the veil lifts, the city stays still. Every page after that is painted in the same sepia ink and watercolour. The date waits under rose petals until a guest blows them away, the venue paints itself back to colour as they scroll, and your photographs hang in a palace room of silk walls and gilt frames.
